As he taught us well, ‘Reggaeton no pasa de moda’ so as every artist should, the Boricua Pioneering Legend joins TikTok for the very first time, and is gracing the culture with a video clip featuring leisure, good vibes, and a cameo by Pioneering producer DJ Urba.
There’s something refreshing about seeing Tego blissfully strutting his golf moves, the additional models rocking Afros , and Brown Skin from everyone involved. Off the bat, in the LatAm context, these images of Leisure of this kind in popular culture don’t exist at large. Leisure, a ‘cousin’ of Joy is a form of resistance–in combination with Reggaeton, at the very least this 30 second music video clip is aesthetically pleasing.
He’s teasing the public of course, the track is available on all streaming platforms as of April 28th.
